4 Fast Ways to Increase Traffic to Your Blog (Without SEO)

One of the biggest misconceptions about blogging is that you can simply create content, post it, and people will come.

However, this cannot be further from the truth. The reality is that in order to bring traffic to your content, you need to promote your blog posts.

You can create the most high-quality, value-packed content, but if nobody sees it, will it matter?

The good news is there are some very simple ways to start bringing traffic to your blog, even if you have no experience at all!

In this video, I cover 4 ways in particular that you can start using right now in order to get visitors to your blog:

To sum up my four tips for increasing your blog traffic:

1. Send an email to your list to let them know about your new post

Whether you have one person on your list right now or 10,000, this is a great traffic strategy to get in the habit of implementing because it can bring immediate views to your content. As your list grows, so will your website traffic. Not to mention, people joined your list for your content, so why not share it?

2. Syndicate your blog post across your social media channels

If you are using sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, and more, then you should be utilizing your followings on those sites. Share your blog posts with optimized descriptions on those sites. In addition to the boost in traffic, social sites also have awesome SEO value which can help you rank in the search engines.

3. Run a Facebook ad to your post

Out of the four strategies I am sharing with you today, this is the only paid traffic source. However, it is a high quality traffic source with fairly low costs as long as you understand your target market. Simply promote your blog posts to fans of pages that are similar to your site. This will help your post get seen by highly targeted viewers.

4. Create a video and/or audio for your post to share on high authority sites

This last tip has two major benefits. You are able to create content that appeals to visual and auditory learners and you are able to leverage the traffic of other high authority sites, like YouTube and SoundCloud. Just as you can see with the majority of our blog posts, we also create videos to embed on our posts because it allows us to get lots of traffic from YouTube.

So there’s just a few tips to get your started on increasing your blog traffic today. There are countless more ways (which we will touch on in future posts), but this creates a great foundation and gets results.

Now I want to hear from you! What are your top ways for driving traffic to your blog posts?

Increasing Blog Traffic with Pinterest

Are you looking for ways to increase traffic to your blog?

If you haven’t yet tapped into large amount of traffic that Pinterest has to offer, then you are missing out on a huge opportunity. Pinterest now has over 70 million users and growing. This provides a great way to bring new visitors to your blog posts.

In addition to the traffic, another great way to use Pinterest is for content inspiration.

In this video, I go over 4 tips for increasing your blog traffic with Pinterest:

As you can see, Pinterest provides an incredible way to grow your audience, tap into various topics that your readers will want to see and share, and allows you to drive traffic back to your own blog.

Let’s sum up my four tips:

1. Use the Pinterest search bar to find topic ideas for your blog posts

Since Pinterest runs off keywords, you can simply search keywords related to your niche in order to get an idea of what people are sharing. You will be able to see which topics generate the most buzz based on how many repins they receive and the number of comments they get. This strategy alone has helped me come up with a neverending list of content ideas.

2. Add a Pinterest widget to your blog

You want to make sure that you are making it as easy as possible for people to share your great content on Pinterest. To do this, simply add a Pinterest widget to your blog with pre-written descriptions so that people can “pin” posts that they feel are shareworthy.

3. Follow other pinners in your industry

Following other pinners in your industry is a great way to engage with and get your brand in front of people who fit the ideal profile for your blog readers. The key to this step is to be genuine, engage in conversations, and share the work of others.

4. Place a call to action in the description of your pins

Finally, this step is important if you want people to take a specific action, such as visiting your website or liking your fan page. Whatever it is that you want your audience on Pinterest to do, be sure to make that clear in your keyword-rich description.

If you follow these four steps consistenly, you will start to see your blog traffic grow over time as well as increase visibility of your brand.

So now I want to hear from you. What are some ways that you have used Pinterest to increase your blog traffic?

Tips On How To Be A Better Blogger

Many people are just itching to become famous and get their opinion read by a large number of people. If you build a large audience, you can succeed in areas, like marketing. Blog Posting is a great way to make your online presence known, and this piece offers some great tips for getting started.

Don’t copy anything you see. Plagiarism is a serious ethical offense, and the reputation you are working so hard to establish can easily be marred if you engage in it. While even an amateur writer can find success in blogging, showing your passion through unique content is the only way to reach your goals.

Make sure that your blog is unique. Readers are drawn to unique content. Adding information that is hard to find will have the same results. Blog about some uncommon experience that few other people have written about. Explain exactly how a widget works. Ideally, you should provide readers with a good reason to click through to your blog, instead of your competition, when they’re looking for certain kinds of information.

Be available for your readers at all times. Make a habit of interacting with them. Making a connection with readers is important. Giving up on blogging will not only disappoint your readers, it will come back to haunt you later.

Ask other expert bloggers in your niche to trade guest posts with you. This can increase your content’s quality substantially. You may also glean additional traffic when they let their readership know about their postings on your site. Work with others to make your blog more content rich than ever.

Allowing guests to make posts within your blog is extremely helpful. That way, you can establish a strong rapport with readers and other bloggers, which may prove valuable down the road. Good relationships can frequently work in your favor. If you need help promoting your blog, the person who you allowed to guest blog may be willing to do something to help you.

Make lists an integral part of your blog. Lists become very useful when you’re posting specific requirements, such as ingredients to gather or tools needed for a job. Lists give your readers the information they need in an easy to read format.

Remember not to overuse keywords, plug-in, images and ads. If you do, search engines will flag you and will not list you in their results. Write naturally, and make sure that your blog posts are easy to read.

Make the appropriate social network links available, so readers can follow your blog. Linking your site to popular sites like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, among others, will make a big difference in the success of your blog. The more social media sites you use, the more channels of communication you open between you and potential readers. This helps readers connect with you and lets new readers know about your blog.

Make sure that you are totally committed to the topic that you’ve chosen to blog about. When writing content that you take a great interest in, it is much more interesting to read and you come across as being honest. You’ll have stronger connections to the readers, and your blogging will be more successful.

The more high-quality, relevant content you have on your blog, the higher search engines will rank it. This will make it easier for readers to find you when searching for your niche. As such, you’ll see a spike in readership as your page rank grows. Blog often to optimize gains in daily traffic.

You do have a life separate from your blog. It is easy to burn out if you spend all your time on the computer, so make sure you devote some time to other activities. Go for a walk with friends, or take a long bath. Little breaks like these will keep you feeling fresh and ready to write.

By now, you should have an idea of the concept of writing a blog and ways to use it after reading this article. Apply everything that you’ve learned and stay patient, you’ll see results in no time.
