3 Tips for Growing Your Network Marketing Business with a Facebook Fan Page

The other day I showed you how and why you should absolutely be branding yourself with a fan page if you are in a network marketing company.

And today, I want to share with you some key tips for maximizing that fan page in order to attract ideal prospects and grow a successful organization. Facebook is proving to be an incredible platform when it comes to advertising for business, but it’s important to understand how to use it properly if you want to stand out from the crowd (and keep your ad account safe).

If you don’t know what you’re doing you can easily risk wasting tons of money on ads with no profitable results to show for it.

This post will cover my top three tips for gaining traction with your branded fan page in order to get the best results.

#1 Build authority and become the go-to person for your niche

When it comes to marketing a network marketing business on Facebook (or anywhere really), it is important to remember that you need to stand out from the thousands of other reps. In my branding video, I covered how to do that, such as not using your company’s name or any trademarked information in your fan page. Most companies have strict policies against this and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

The way around this however is to use generic terms related to what your company sells. If your company is in health and beauty, you can use terms like skincare, anti-aging, weight loss, and fitness. If your company is in the fashion niche, you can use terms like handbags, jewelry, and accessories. You get the point…

The KEY is to keep it simple and create curiosity!

Rather than simply pitching products or giving away all of the information about your primary business, share personal stories, results, and a “day in the life” type posts. If you give away everything about your company’s products, what’s to stop someone from doing a quick Google search and buying from someone else?

Some of the most successful network marketers I know simply create fun posts that get people engaged on their content, asking to learn more.

For example, a Beachbody coach might share pictures of them doing their daily workout or drinking a Shakeology shake. They might share pictures of company events or special trips that top coaches earn through incentives. They might share how the company has changed their financial life by allowing them to purchase their first home or send their child off to college.

The point is that the more generic and simple you keep it, the more curiosity and buzz you create. Then you start to have people asking you what you do and how they can do it too. Pretty cool, huh?

#2 Run targeted LIKES and Post Engagement ads to people who might be interested in your products or services

As you start to share content on your fan page that you know your target audience would love, the next thing to do is to grow that audience and continue to get your content in front of them through Facebook ads.

First, I would suggest running a LIKES campaign to interests related to your company. When it comes to choosing interests, think of major leaders, programs, authors, books, or keywords for your niche.

For example, when I want to get my ad in front of network marketers, I might target people who like Network Marketing Pro, Ray Higdon, and Jim Rohn.

Think about who your target market already follows to determine the best interests!

As you start to build your page, fill it with valuable content, and get that content in front of people who will find value you in it, soon enough you will start to have people expressing more and more interest in what you promote.

#3 Engage and converse with your fans

This one is key! Since social media and network marketing are both very much rooted in personal intereactions, you want to make a habit of replying and engaging with anyone who shows interest on your page.

If someone leaves a comment on a post, reply back to them. If you get messages to your fan page inbox, write back to those people within 24 hours. If you get shares on your content or people tag their friends to learn more, be sure to personally thank them for spreading the word for you.

Sincerity and genuine connections go a long way. It is truly what makes social media and sites like Facebook stand out from so many other marketing methods.

Be personal. Be friendly, Be authentic!

The more people get to see that you are a real person sharing your passion, the more they will get to know, like, and trust you. And of course, I am sure you already know that rapport is essential to building a thriving network marketing business.

It is crucial that you focus on relationships, building rapport, and providing value to your market.

Not to mention, your company probably already has their own fan page branded their products and services, so why would you want to give them all of YOUR traffic?

Some companies even have policies that forbid you from using their trademark names, logos, and wording on your own business page. So you gotta be careful with that one!

Take a look at the top leaders in every company and you will notice a trend.

They brand themselves. They share stories and value on their pages and they keep promotion to a minimum.

Today’s video is a bit different as I speak from the heart and share our experience with this very situation.

This is my final and favorite of my network marketing tips. If you are letting negativity or the lack of motivation stop you when you are not feeling like you are getting anywhere. Remember that it takes time to master a new craft or skill set. So just stay positive and continue on until you have completed your goals.
